Gerard is a founding Director of Insurances & Financial Services Limited since the Company commenced in Palmerstown in 1989. They re-located to Lucan village in 1990 where it remains today, located at IFS House, 16, Lower Main Street, where it sits overlooking the grounds of the Italian Embassy Residence. Gerard started his career in 1980 with a firm of Insurance Brokers and during this time, gained experience in the Life and Non-Life Insurance Sectors, including Building Society and Auctioneering.
In 1997, Gerard qualified as an Associate of the Life Insurance Association (ALIA dip.) In 2000, he was admitted to the Insurance Institute of Ireland and the Life Assurance Association of Ireland by Diploma as a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA). In 2010, he was awarded the Professional Certificate in General Insurance by the National University of Ireland and having passed the prescribed examinations in 2011, was granted the designation of Accredited Product Advisor (Personal General Insurance). In addition to the above, he has over 38 years’ experience in Commercial General Insurance and is a member of the Life Assurance Association, The Insurance Institute of Ireland and Brokers Ireland.

She began her career in the Legal Profession in 1981 and having gained experience in legal accounting, undertook the role of Accounts Administration in Insurances and Financial Services Limited. In 2011, following 3 years of study at National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Joan obtained a Batchelor of Arts, Honours Degree in Psychology which has proven to be an asset to our Company.

Michelle joined Insurances and Financial Services Limited in 2005. She has over 17 years experience in the Insurance Broker Sector and chose to gain her status as a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP), which she achieved in 2012. Michelle was also
granted the designation of Accredited Product Advisor (Personal General Insurance) in 2012. In January 2018, Michelle was granted the designation of Accredited Product Advisor (Life Assurance).
Michelle holds the position of Office Manager and oversees the Non-Life Division of the Company, specialising in Home, Motor, Travel, Business and Commercial Insurances.
